Persephone winds down in the spa; Ryo brings her medicine, and Thanatos and Zagreus join in.

Ryo is having a tough time missing his friends and finally breaks down, only to be reassured by his new friends. Afterwards, he spends some time taking care of other people, as he does.
• Thanatos - Quiet Car - Backstories are traded, a promise is made, and Thanatos has troubles of his own - who is his missing god of life?
• Della - Quiet Car - Ryo cries himself out, and Della proves herself to be a good mom, even to kids not her own.
• Persephone - Quiet Car - Persephone learns about Ryo's past, Ryo learns about hers, and promises are made.
• Senku - Hallway - Senku is exhausted, and Ryo all but drags him to bed.*

The train has provided an opportunity to send messages home, and Ryo takes it, hoping to reassure his friends back home after his disappearance. He then sets up a picnic, because why not feed his friends here?

Ryo reminds people to take a potion with them pre-mission; he goes with Purple to investigate seeming animal attacks and gets attacked himself, by Beasts, which shouldn't be here; and he reaches out to those who needs to rest and offers a place to stay.
• Willow - Taking extra potions to help people who'll need it.
• Inigo - A Beast attacks in the shape of a bear; Inigo defends Ryo and kills it, and they both question how a creature from Ryo's world could be there.
• Casper - Casper needs a place to rest, and he and Ryo talk a bit about Casper's past.
• Noctis - A Beast in the shape of a cougar attacks, and Noctis defends Ryo.
• Soldat - A Beast in the shape of a wolf attacks, and Soldat defends Ryo and learns a thing or two about Beasts.
• Tidus - Ryo and Tidus put their heads together to try to figure out why Beasts are on an unrelated world and what's happening here. It doesn't work out.
↳ 11: MISSION: Toplevel
The illusions get worse and lure people outside the city. Ryo sets up at base camp to try to help people suffering from smog inhalation; he also falls victim to enticing illusions showing him his brother and his friends.
• Willow - Ryo sees Endon and Orion, and Willow tries to break him of the illusion.
• Otoha - Ryo sees Ryoga, and Otoha - with an illusory Reiji in tow - breaks him of the illusion. Ryo loses his temper and has something of a breakdown.
• Yondu - Yondu is having a rough time with the illusions, and Ryo tries to help him settle his stomach and his mind.*
• Thanatos - Ryo sees Ryoga, and Thanatos helps him realize it's an illusion. He pulls his sword, Ryo panics and grabs his wrist, and Thanatos disappears in a panicked hurry.
• Della - Ryo sees Ryoga, and Della manages to convince him it's not real. Ryo has another reakdown on her, and she helps him calm down.
↳ 11: MISSION: Thanatos
Thanatos is caught in an illusion of Sisyphus' castle; Ryo tries to break him from it, made all the more difficult by Thanatos's newly diminished trust in Ryo. Lagos and Mort help.
↳ 11: MISSION: Persephone
Persephone is stuck in an illusion of her murders; Ryo finds her and tries to talk her through it. It's difficult and painful, but she does eventually find her calm.

Ryo and Thanatos finally talk about what happened during the missions and do their best to repair their friendship.

Network/Dining Car - Ryo offers hot drinks and a place to relax and talk to anyone who needs it (and healing to those he thinks needs it, though he doesn't lead with that).
• Ghost - Ghost drops off a therapy book so they can both be educated, and some level of snark and bonding ensues.*
• Otoha - Otoha is having trouble dealing with the aftermath of illusions and comes to Ryo for comfort. Ryo tells him he's proud of him; it's the first time Otoha has heard it.
• Murphy - Murphy drops off booze and there is mutual sass.*
• Koumyou - After a brief "please don't smoke in here" interlude, Ryo's hot chocolate meets with Koumyou's approval.
• Wei Wuxian (weifinder) - An introduction to coffee and hot chocolate turns to a discussion of dairy products.*
• Ayumi - Ayumi is having trouble dealing with the aftereffects of the illusions.*
• Mono - An introduction to the concept of hot chocolate.*
• Rich - Rich comes for hot chocolate and to let Ryo talk things out if he needs to.
• Persephone - At the end of the night, Persephone comes to check in with Ryo, and she shares a few more details about what actually happened during the murders.

Network - Ryo tells the train about his Sense, and participates in an impromptu Hot Or Not regarding Thanatos. (Spoilers: Thanatos is Hot.)

Garden Car - Zetta has his body back! ...so this is weird.

Standard car - Tidus is giving things away, and Ryo takes the opportunity to ask him about Arms bands, which are no longer available in the shop.

Network - Entrapta wants to record people doing magic, and Ryo is curious as to what all that entails.
↳ 22: EVENT: Toplevel
The train takes them to a void nexus so they can learn to fight off illusions. Ryo takes part in fishing and gathering food, does an ill-fated art project, helps people outside the endurance trial recover, and loses his temper when a trial once again tries to show him his friends and his brother.
• Caleb - Caleb introduces Ryo to Frumpkin (and the concept of a familiar) and helps him gather plants.*
• Ken - Ken comes out of the endurance trial needing healing, and he an Ryo talk about healing spells and the need to hide in order to survive.
• Inigo - Inigo helps with gathering and gives his definition of what a hero is.
• Tidus - Tidus witnesses the art project and asks if Ryo has any fishing tricks. Turns out wind magic can be helpful.
• Leia - Leia joins in with gathering plants.*
• Koumyou - Koumyou witnesses Ryo's anger at the trial, and they discuss anger as a useful emotion and the trials as a whole as Ryo tries to calm down.
• Mami - Yes, he does plan on wearing that painted hoodie. He doesn't know it's a bad idea.
• Rich - Rich is injured after the endurance trial and needs healing.

Network - After being warned that the glowing sap from the pods attracts large fish who like the sap and aren't discriminatory about what they eat as long as it's sap-covered, Ryo issues a warning not to get the sap on you and asks for further help fishing and gathering food.
• Entrapta - Entrapta would like to touch the fish and isn't too concerned with dying, much to Ryo's concern.
• Caleb - Caleb volunteers to help gather food.
• Della - Della hates the ocean, evidently!
• Tannis - No, you cannot weaponize a fish.*
• Ghost - Evidently this world doesn't agree with him, so Ghost is staying on the train.
• Jingyi - How much does Ryo know about the big fish? Also, Jingyi is definitely a dragon.*
• Lan Xichen - Evidently Ryo isn't the only one who got covered in sap, and he offers to help find sap remover ingredients.*

As the illusory Diagad falls apart, Ryo chooses to anchor to bring people home; someone takes him up on that offer.

Various - The strain of anchoring is pretty heavy, as it turns out. Ryo collapses, needs help finding a place to rest, and is generally exhausted for the next few days.
• Otoha - Otoha helps an exhausted Ryo back to Otoha's room in order to get some rest and tries to reassure Ryo as he has a breakdown over being too exhausted to help anyone.
• Essek - Where have you BEEN he was WORRIED about you!
• Jingyi - Both of them are terribly exhausted, and this conversation has zero active brain cells.
• Kitty - Hello, roommate, the music car is nice this time of day, isn't it?
• Tidus - Tidus attempts to help Ryo back to his bunk and gets a hug for his trouble - a hug that, as it turns out, Ryo desperately needs.
↳ 13: Essek*
Greenhouse - Essek has a late-night breakdown, and Ryo tries to help him through it.
↳ 14: Inigo*
Gym - Inigo sets up a pillow pile for Ryo, and Ryo gets a good cuddle for the first time in months. It's a much-needed kindness.

Gym - Thanatos does not seem okay, and an attempt to reach him simply results in an argument between Chthonic Companions.

• Caleb - Ryo finally figures out why he can't buy an arms band for himself, and he purchases spell supplies for Caleb in exchange for a handy haversack.
• Della - Ryo gives Della a muffin and lets slip that his birthday recently passed, and she insists on baking for him in turn.
• Rui - Ryo gives Rui a muffin and checks in on a friend.
• Jingyi - Ryo gives Jingyi a muffin, and also an explanation of his healing works, because Jingyi has a lot of questions.
• Soldat - Walking and talking and also have a muffin.
• Devero - Devero has a Moment when he learns Ryo is seventeen (and older than he'd thought) and learns about Ryo's magic.
• Essek - Ryo gives Essek a muffin, gets a bit confused as to how Essek eats, and refuses to let him leave without a conversation.

Gym - Ryo joins his friends in a virtual video game to...mixed success.

It's Lads' Night on vacation! A whole bunch of the boys (and girls, and other friends and family), and Ryo helps cook food over the fire and takes the time to stargaze.
• Jingyi - Ryo and Jingyi try to figure out what's up with the fake meat, and Jingyi is an adorable smartass.
• Taiki - Roast potatoes and conversation.
• Lan Sizhui - Stargazing and a chat.

Roasting marshmallows on a stick to see if they're different heated, and trying to figure out what other foods they'd be good with.

Ryo saves Inigo from choking to death, and they have a moment to relax and talk about things...and tell stories.

The Aquafir resort is huge, full of good things, and honestly overwhelming. Ryo gives the ball pit a look, the obstacle court a try, and finds a place for a picnic.
• Orisa - Orisa certainly got stuck in the ball pit, and Ryo does his best to get her out.
• Otoha - Ryo is looking for a good place for a picnic, and Otoha happened to stumble on one.
• Thanatos - Thanatos is still not quite himself (or working on becoming a new version of himself); Ryo tries to help without being intrusive. Mort and Lagos have a Chat, as they do.
• Jonouchi - Jonouchi sure does tackle Ryo into the ball pit, and he has a rough time keeping his feet. They both might as well be overly, hilariously dramatic about it.

Potato is reacting poorly to the mission world; Ryo takes a mission from Hemla the Forever One to gather a crystal so Hemla can help Potato acclimate.

Trying to keep an affected sali from attacking a younger sali eventually leads Ryo and Jingyi to the Forever One Enshala, where they offer their skills, Jingyi asks for less tattered clothes, and Ryo has a hard time communicating.
↳ 8: MISSION: Death
Death and Ryo remove some invasive plants and talk about the duties of Death - namely, how to do them if you can't be multiple places at once. There's no good answer.
↳ 8-9: MISSION: Toplevel
Helping on the South Island! Ryo helps remove invasive plants and field dress animals who've been killed by birds; he also helps with Hemla's attempts to regulate energies/powers by taking a crystal.
• Murphy - Murphy helps him move skinned animals, and Ryo learns all about Murphy's zombie apocalypse of a world - yikes - and the fact that Murphy is undead and has a craving for brains.
• Jake - Jake helps with gardening, and Ryo gets Very Concerned about how cavalierly he talks about getting hurt and treating his injuries.
• Romeo - Romeo helps Ryo feel better while carrying a crystal, and they talk about how evil birds must taste bad.
• Jonouchi - Wooloo and Woolie sound very alike and that's honestly hilarious.

Ryo is feeling ill from carrying a crystal; Ryo, being a hypocrite, deflects the concern and criticism; Thanatos, for fear of making things worse, abruptly leaves the conversation.

In an effort to keep the younger sali out of danger and occupied, Nell teaches them songs and stories, and Ryo herds more younger sali into the song circle.

• Romeo - Romeo learns he has stigmatic healing and shows Ryo! Ryo tries not to panic and makes Romeo promise not to use it until he has some medical training.
