Other Notes: Ryo has what his world calls a Sense. Full details are here, but essentially, he can sense life energy - if your character is alive and sapient, they register. I'm up for discussing things further - let me know!

EDIT: After Diagad, he also gained last rites/death-related powers. He's able to Sense people with connections to death (whether they're undead, have death powers themselves, or are otherwise connected to death); he's also able to lay the souls of the departed to rest and help them pass on to where they need to go. (Later on, with training, he'll be able to take care of ghosts and undead as well.)

Totally fine to Sense Casper, and also his soul is in his raven.

Casper is also a lot more powerful than he appears and acts, with powers coming from various sources. He has two different kinds of immortality on top of it - both the more 'ageless' immortality from his canon and a Greek-flavored one due to previous game shenanigans.

Unlike with Willow I don't think it'll short out, but would still clock as pretty strong I'd say since Wei Wuxian has a fair bit of power to him. His soul is also older than the body it is currently inhabiting due to sacrifice (the body he's in is 26 whereas his soul would be placed around age 35/36)

He's also host to a Kitsune spirit who is at least 1k years old (all 9 tails) due to his crau, so I'm not exactly sure how this'll effect the Sense since there's two spirits/energies that'd be given off.

Go wild! As much as he passes for human physically (technopath-to-speech-ing aside), Ghost is very definitely not. He's a big psychic presence (even the least advanced Typhon are psychically "bigger" than humans on the noetic field, that's Prey canon, and Ghost is significantly more advanced than a Mimic), though it's up to you how you want that to translate.

More detailedly, his age will probably register as either "30" or "that's an infant" or both, probably not even consistently, he's pretty powerful and just a bit eldritch-alien, and in good health, but the kind of "in good health" where you can tell that his definition of good health isn't quite the same as human baseline.

Perfectly fine with the Sense! Futaba would probably clock in as a relatively normal magic user (human, no off-the-charts power levels, no age discrepancies) - I'm not sure if she'd register as a healer because she does have some healing abilities but they're not her specialty by any means.

The only other thing I can think of is if/when he does see her summon her Persona, he'd probably be able to sense that the UFO-jellyfish thing she just summoned is... still her. Still 100% her.

Finally I have a normal one for you - Caleb's soul is... normal. Normal enough for his canon, anyway. He's a D&D wizard so. /shrug

Sense is "go for it" but with a lot of "that's not a human, that's an elemental magic supercomputer, technically" details. Power level high but specifically a step down from "godly."

Also I have no idea if Ryo's "healers can sense other healers" bit applies to other kinds of magical healing, but if it does, it'll ping on Asch (in weird like... doublevision ways) since being a healing blade is inherent rather than learned.

Sense is [thumbs up emoji], Jade’s extremely strong magically (accidentally caused a history-making blizzard once) and leaks ice magic like crazy. He’s also not human; he’s an elemental magical supercomputer when you get into the really fine print, though if it’s easier to parse him as “being made primarily of magic” that’s fine too.

First off, Zelgadis is a mage and a decently powerful one.

I don't know how Zelgadis's species would 'feel'. Zelgadis is a chimera -- a magical construct of several species. In particular, he's a mix of golem, brau demon (a sort of goblin-like creature that is known for its magical abilities, and not an actual demon) and human. However, Zelgadis was originally fully human, and the other things were magically added (rather than Zelgadis being created in his current body).

Make of that what you will.

Feel free to Sense Auditi; she's relatively mundane, has good psychic defenses, but is completely nonhuman - so, like, whatever "fully sapient pseudo-insect person" would read as, that's her.

Entrapta (sciencegirl) definitely has normal with that mild magic evervibe because her hair is always going.

Yondu (yondu) probably doesn't feel that different from a human? He's in good health for someone with a bunch of wires in their brain. Centaurians in the comics have a vague sense for diseases/foreign bodies/connections to nature and the mods said I could use that, though I'm treating it like Yondu never learned to use it/missed his chance to. But it might give him some forest creature stank of some sort even if he's lived on ships his whole life.

Murphy (zombiemessiah) died and came all the way back, and has a strong connection to the dead. So I will let you decide if he feels like anything at all.

Sense away for both of mine! And while Lea is relatively ordinary- other than being in good health and having some magical ability, nothing to really see here-, Sensing Leia would be... weird.

While Leia is physically an older human woman in good health thanks to lining in Nautilus, in her own world, her physical body died. Her natural form there is a Force spirit. So she is at once a 'magically' powerful human, but there would definitely be the sense that there's more there that's spirit than there is physical, though not in a bad way. Possibly falling into a Spirit, depending on how his world defines them.

Haneul looks human but reads as a weird spirit entity that only approximates a human, the result of being unwillingly fused with a spirit back home (which basically "rewrote" him on at least a cellular level). He also has a dual consciousness, because said spirit is still hanging out in his body and tends to come out in moments of extreme duress. He's got a lot of power that he tends to manifest as light, but I don't know if it would register as magic per se.

Tobirama is definitely human but there's something different about him, you could say. He might register as mage with all his abilities? If its applicable, his life energy seems to be quite bountiful and capable of many things but mostly holds an affinity toward water. Ryo can also probably tell that all together Tobirama is somewhere around 120ish though he's physically stuck around 60 and looks a bit younger. He is in extremely good health and likely a very distinct presence. Again, don't know if its relevant but Ryo may be able to sense that... Tobirama is also a sensing type and holds similar skills.

You're more than welcome to use sense on Elidibus. (and discern his presence in his aetherial form when applicable if you haven't come to my permissions page. I am too lazy to check right now)

Elidibus is a member of a race of Ancients. Most got their souls sundered into fourteen bits after a series of fucked up events. Elidibus was one of three who survived intact.

These ancients were comparable to gods. They had the power to create from the fundamental 'aether' (a framework of energy in all things that are needed to sustain and give life) not only objects but beasts, land, wonderous monsters. They even created a literal god (or a will for their world so it could rewrite the fate of reality and save their world).

Elidibus sacrificed himself to become the heart/soul/core of said god. The one thing the Ancients couldn't create was an actual... well, soul. So someone had to go. That someone was eventually Elidibus. But then he heard his people needed him so he sang the song and yeeted himself out to try to help. (spoiler alert, it didn't work)

After the sundering of souls, Elidibus and the two other Unsundered cast off their mortal flesh and ascended as immortal... well, spirits (called Aetherial Beings). They have since lived some 12,000 years trying to bring their world, god, and people back into a whole piece.

Elidibus is currently in someone else's body. The OTHER SOUL of that body had left 100 years of its time before. This may be picked up on if it's within Ryo's capability. But with Elidibus inhabiting it, it's a perfectly living body. Just not HIS body. Also the body MIGHT have a bit of lingering 'was once a corpse, now it's fine'. But it's okay, the original owner doesn't need the body anymore! It's fiiiiine.

Oh he also henshined up into another godlike being that embodied mankind's hope as the OG Warrior of Light before he ended up on the train. But he's de-henshined now. So there's that too.

TL;DR So he'd be a hotspot of lifeforce, 100%. Probably godlike level. Is in someone else's body (body doesn't have og owner's soul but is perfectly alive because of occupancy).

No problem with the Sense! Esteban would likely be likened to fire/flames, but it might be difficult to pinpoint what he is, being a half-elf, half-dragon.

He is a little old for his appearance, but not overly so; his soul might also feel young if Ryo believes in reincarnation.

One thing Ryo might notice is that he is NOT a demon or a devil! if he has any frame of reference. This is pretty important to Esteban because he LOOKS like one when he shapeshifts, hence why he is pretty discreet about his shifting abilities.

He looks human, but is not. Among other things he is an immortal of the kind that is unable to die, he has a lot of magic abilities and is fairly powerful, and his age is terribly complicated. The part of him that was born as a human is thirteen, but between time travel and being not strongly connected to time, there is a part of him that is far older than that.

A character with the Sight once saw him appear as a pillar of cold white light.

Posting here to affirm that I am a-okay with Ryo finding that Freddy is not 'alive' in the typical sense. He is an AI. In addition he has been in connection with a person who is/should be dead and is not/attempting to return from the dead. It is worth noting that Freddy is not possessed.

I don't know if this is relevant but given Malekith's age there might be feelings of death surrounding him, those he's killed and those who have been killed of his kind (since they all share a sort of collected consciousness).

Cool with everything! Lioriley is obvi 100% not human and a creature of magic. Her life essence is just raw magic, along with her blood and other bodily fluids. She is also a high level healer and ice mage, so I'm sure he'll be able to tell immediately what she's about lmfao.
